A mountains move is a grade problem, not a distance problem.
Local Blue Mountains removalists who plan for the climb: steep escarpment blocks, narrow ridge streets and one main road up. We price the access and the carry, not the kilometres.

The climb is the job
elevation, east → west · metres ASLGlenbrook, the eastern gateway, sits around 150m. Blackheath and Mount Victoria sit over 1,000m. That ~900m climb over ~50km of one main road is what shapes every move. Pick a village to see how the access changes as you go up.

Local knowledge, careful hands, honest quotes
We know the climb
A mountains move is decided by access, not kilometres. We plan the truck, the crew and the carry around the grade and the block at both ends.
Built for ridge streets
Narrow winding lanes, blocks that drop below the road and homes set well back on bush lots are our normal day, not a surprise on the invoice.
Insured, every move
Your belongings are covered while we are carrying them. Wrapping and protecting your furniture and your home is part of the job.
Transparent quotes
A clear quote based on your actual move and access. What you are told up front is what you pay.
Good to know before you move
Why does access matter more than distance in the mountains?
Because the villages sit on a narrow ridge with the land falling away on both sides. Two homes ten minutes apart can be a flat double-driveway and a fifty-metre carry down external steps. We price the access and the carry, which is what actually decides the day.
How far ahead should I book?
The earlier the better, especially around month-end and weekends. A week or two usually secures your preferred date, but get in touch even at short notice and we will do our best to fit you in.
Can you handle a steep or below-road driveway?
Yes. Steep drives, blocks that sit below the street and long carries are standard mountains jobs. Send a photo of the driveway with your enquiry and we will tell you exactly how we would handle it, including whether a smaller shuttle vehicle helps.
Do the upper villages really get cold and foggy on move day?
Above about 1,000 metres, yes. Blackheath, Katoomba and Mount Victoria can be foggy or frosty first thing in winter, so we plan footing and floor protection and sometimes a slightly later start once the frost lifts.
